Complete Twilight Book Series :PDF Download

Stephenie Meyer - The Twilight Saga
Twilight is a series of vampire-based fantasy/
romance/horror novels by American author
Stephenie Meyer. It follows the adventures of
Isabella Swan, a teenager who moves to Forks,
Washington and finds her life turned upside-
down when she falls in love with a vampire named

 Edward Cullen.

The series is currently one of the most popular

books written for young adults, with 50 million
copies sold worldwide and over 7.7 million copies
sold in the U.S. alone. The series has been
translated into over 20 different languages around

 the world.

Film Adaptation: A screenplay for Twilight was written

by Melissa Rosenberg and has been adapted into a
film by Summit Entertainment. The film is being
directed by Catherine Hardwicke, with Kristen Stewart
and Robert Pattinson in the leading roles of Isabella
Swan and Edward Cullen, respectively. It is set to
be released on November 21, 2008.

Book 1 - Twilight (2005)

Twilight is a young adult vampire novel written by

author Stephenie Meyer, originally published in
hardcover in 2005. It is the first book of the
Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year
-old Isabella "Bella" Swan who moves from
Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington, and
finds her life in danger when she falls in love
 with a vampire, Edward Cullen.

Book 2 - New Moon (2006)

Legions of readers entranced by Twilight are

hungry for more and they won't be disappointed.
In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another
irresistible combination of romance and suspense
with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed"
lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find
themselves facing new obstacles, including a
devastating separation, the mysterious appearance
of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks,
a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire
and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's
reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi.
Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists
and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its
way to literary immortality.

Book 3 - Eclipse (2007)

Readers captivated by Twilight and New Moo
n will eagerly devour Eclipse, the much anticipated
third book in Stephenie Meyer's riveting vampire
love saga. As Seattle is ravaged by a string of
mysterious killings and a malicious vampire
continues her quest for revenge, Bella once
the midst of it all, she is forced to choose
between her love for Edward and her friendship
with Jacob --- knowing that her decision has the
potential to ignite the ageless struggle between
vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly
approaching, Bella has one more decision to make:
life or death. But which is which?

Book 4 - Breaking Dawn (2008)

Breaking Dawn is the fourth and last novel in
the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Divided
into three 'books', the story is told from the
perspective of Bella Swan, except for Book Two
which is from the perspective of Jacob Black,
Bella's werewolf friend. Breaking Dawn was
released on August 2, 2008 with a special
midnight release in many bookstores.
Book 5 - The Host
Stephenie Meyer, creator of the phenomenal
teen-vamp Twilight series, takes paranormal
romance into alien territory in her first adult
novel. Those wary of sci-fi or teen angst will
be pleasantly surprised by this mature and
imaginative thriller, propelled by equal parts
action and emotion. A species of altruistic
parasites has peacefully assumed control of
the minds and bodies of most humans, but
feisty Melanie Stryder won't surrender her mind
to the alien soul called Wanderer. Overwhelmed
by Melanie's memories of fellow resistor Jared,
Wanderer yields to her body's longing and sets
off into the desert to find him. Likely the first
love triangle involving just two bodies, it's
unabashedly romantic, and the characters
(human and alien) genuinely endearing.
Also Included the Partial Draft of Stephenie
Meyer's "Midnight Sun", which is Twilight from
Edward Cullen's point of view, revealing details
of his own life and existance that were to us
unknown, since all the other books are told from
Bella's perspective.

PLEA OF INSANITY REVIEW

                                                                     by Queenie D
"...without an obvious motive, what kind of person could murder his entire family in cold blood and then be devious enough to successfully fake the symptoms of schizophrenia to get away with it?"
When Julia Vacanti is called to the office of the division chief of Major Crimes, she's sure she's being handed her walking papers. After all, she did just royally piss off a judge by requesting a trial against a wife-beater with no witnesses. When she arrives at Charley Rifkin's office, she is further dismayed to find her current lover waiting for her as well. But things are not as they seem.
Be it a case of sleeping up the corporate ladder, or the fact that Julia is an excellent trial lawyer with a penchant for winning over jury's, she's been asked to sit as second chair in an "off-the-charts high profile" murder. Dr. David Marquette has brutally murdered his wife and three children in their sleep, and is now claiming insanity.
Julia's initial reluctance to take the case is not just that it could be career suicide, but she's got a complex, horrific past of her own that strikes to close to the heart of this case. Emotions, threats, passions, and insanities run high during the course of this trial and the only thing left to find out is what will become of the beautiful, yet haunted, Ms. Vacanti?

Plea of Insanity Opinion
FANTASTIC! Jilliane Hoffman is truly the Queen of Suspense, a title I do not hand out lightly! I was turning the pages of this novel so fast I actually skipped a few from time to time and had to slow myself down. I couldn't handle the anticipation of what might happen next. At nearly 500 pages, you would think a few days to finish would be appropriate. Not quite! I read from 7pm-1am with NO stops. Nobody and nothing was tearing me away from this book.
So why did it have such an impact on me as a reader? I really thought about this because murder mysteries are a dime a dozen, but for some reason this one had more of a profound effect on me. I realized that not only is it a compelling, shocking, gruesome murder, the plot is rooted in the questions of guilt vs. innocence, and sane vs. insane. What does it really mean to be on either side of these two coins? Is it possible for a good person to do bad things because they can't control themselves? Is it possible for a sane person to completely fake insanity, fooling even the most prominent of doctors? Further, how much weight is given to the research that insanity, schizophrenia in particular, is hereditary? These are just a few of the questions that arose as I sprinted through this book.
Of course, there is a love story which will also hold readers in its grasp because of its unexpected tenderness. All-in-all, this is an absolute "must read!"

David Mitchell - Cloud Atlas|E-book Download

From Publishers Weekly

At once audacious, dazzling, pretentious and infuriating, Mitchell's third novel weaves history, science, suspense, humor and pathos through six separate but loosely related narratives. Like Mitchell's previous works, Ghostwritten and number9dream (which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize), this latest foray relies on a kaleidoscopic plot structure that showcases the author's stylistic virtuosity. Each of the narratives is set in a different time and place, each is written in a different prose style, each is broken off mid-action and brought to conclusion in the second half of the book. Among the volume's most engaging story lines is a witty 1930s-era chronicle, via letters, of a young musician's effort to become an amanuensis for a renowned, blind composer and a hilarious account of a modern-day vanity publisher who is institutionalized by a stroke and plans a madcap escape in order to return to his literary empire (such as it is). Mitchell's ability to throw his voice may remind some readers of David Foster Wallace, though the intermittent hollowness of his ventriloquism frustrates. Still, readers who enjoy the "novel as puzzle" will find much to savor in this original and occasionally very entertaining work.

Harper Lee - To Kill A Mockingbird

"When he was nearly thirteen, my brother Jem got his arm badly broken at the elbow.... When enough years had gone by to enable us to look back on them, we sometimes discussed the events leading to his accident. I maintain that the Ewells started it all, but Jem, who was four years my senior, said it started long before that. He said it began the summer Dill came to us, when Dill first gave us the idea of making Boo Radley come out."

Set in the small Southern town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the Depression,
To Kill a Mockingbird follows three years in the life of 8-year-old Scout Finch, her brother, Jem, and their father, Atticus--three years punctuated by the arrest and eventual trial of a young black man accused of raping a white woman. Though her story explores big themes, Harper Lee chooses to tell it through the eyes of a child. The result is a tough and tender novel of race, class, justice, and the pain of growing up.

Bill Gates - Bussines at the Speed of Thought

So where do you want to go tomorrow? That's the question Bill Gates tries to answer in Business @ the Speed of Thought. Gates offers a 12-step program for companies wanting to do business in the next millennium. The book's premise: Thanks to technology, the speed of business is accelerating at an ever-increasing rate, and to survive, it must develop an infrastructure--a "digital nervous system"--that allows for the unfettered movement of information inside a company. Gates writes that "The most meaningful way to differentiate your company from your competition ... is to do an outstanding job with information. How you gather, manage, and use information will determine whether you win or lose."
The book is peppered with examples of companies that have already successfully engineered information networks to manage inventory, sales, and customer relationships better. The examples run from Coca-Cola's ability to download sales data from vending machines to Microsoft's own internal practices, such as its reliance on e-mail for company-wide communication and the conversion of most paper processes to digital ones (an assertion that seems somewhat at odds with the now-infamous "by hand on sheets of paper" method of tracking profits that was revealed during Microsoft's antitrust trial).

This recording, the third based on Gates's best-selling
book (the original abridgment was reviewed in Audio
Reviews, LJ 1/96; the unabridged edition was reviewed
in Audio Reviews, LJ 8/96), has been updated to
include Gates's?and by extension, MicrosoftR's?
sudden realization that the Internet is the Holy Grail
of computing. Having been beaten to the punch
by Netscape Communications (whose ubiquitous
World Wide Web browsers own anywhere from 70
to 90 percent of the market), Gates finds himself
playing catch-up. Here, he lays out MicrosoftR's
internet strategies and outlines a brief history of
the Internet's meteoric rise in popularity. Thankfully
, after reading the new and revised passages, our
nerdy-voiced host hands the ball off to reader Rick
Adamson, who seems much more comfortable in
front of a microphone. Recommended for libraries
that passed on the previous two audio incarnations
of The Road Ahead and for larger collections where
in popular technology materials circulate well.?Mark
